Importance of R&D

Biowastes are produced in amount of 120 – 130 million tons in the European Union anually.
The importance of research&development is based on substitution of costly produced inorganic fertilizers by biowaste composts which contributes to the sustainable agricultural management.
Through the controlled bioconversion of agricultural and municipal wastes the end-products can be utilized in the following fields:

• In agriculture: soil improvement, soil manuring, potting media (susbstitution of natural peat based growing medias),
• compost based biofilter – treatment of contaminated air,
• biodegradation of organic micro-pollutants, in situ and ex situ soil decontamination.

The R&D strategy of Agrogeo Ltd. is based ont he following elements:

• preservation of agronommic and energy value of biowastes,
• significant reduction of total nitrogen and carbon loss in waste treatment and utilization technologies,
• agricultural, industrial and environmental protectional use of end-products.
